Abdi Agahtehrani, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and interventional cardiology. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. Dr. Agahtehrani received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He then completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Columbia University School of Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Agahtehrani is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He has special interests in peripheral vascular disease and structural heart disease, including percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects and PFOs. Dr. Agahtehrani’s mission is to provide the highest quality, compassionate, patient-centered care in the area of cardiovascular disease.
Away from the office, Dr. Agahtehrani enjoys family time, especially playing with his children.
