Sara E. Watson, MD, MS joined the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Louisville in July 2014. Dr. Watson completed a pediatric residency at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Indiana University. She also received a master’s degree in clinical research while at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Since joining UofL, she has developed a clinical program for youth with type 2 diabetes and has participated in multiple research studies aimed at improving outcomes for youth with diabetes. She is also a Principle Investigator for the Kentucky Pediatric IDeA Research Center, part of the NIH funded IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network. This multi-center network aims to bring opportunities to participate in state-of-the-art pediatric clinical trials to rural and underserved youth.
