Dr. Khurrum Khan, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, offers advanced cardiovascular care to the Sugar Land community and surrounding areas. Driven by a lifelong passion for the cardiovascular system, Dr. Khan completed his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center, followed by his internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship. He further honed his expertise during his interventional cardiology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, specializing in coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial and venous disease, and structural heart disease.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khan has gained extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, from acute coronary syndrome to advanced heart failure and heart transplant cases. His hands-on clinical training across multiple prestigious institutions, including Ben Taub General Hospital, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, and the Michael E. Debakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, has allowed him to develop expertise in both hospital and private practice settings.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Khan has contributed significantly to cardiology research, having published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented at major cardiology conferences. His research includes a well-recognized review paper on door-in door-out times in STEMI patients, which won him an award for best poster at the BCM Cardiovascular Research Institute Symposium. He has also held leadership roles in prominent cardiology organizations, including serving as Chief Fellow for the American College of Cardiology’s Young Scholars Program and co-founding the Innovation Section for the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
