Edward Barnett, MD, PhD
Dr Edward Barnett earned his Honors Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Iowa, earning both his MD (Alpha Omega Alpha) and a PhD in neuroscience. Following this, Dr Barnett completed his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and a glaucoma fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. From 2001-2013, Dr Barnett was a faculty member of the Department of Ophthalmology at Washington University, achieving the rank of full professor in 2012. He also served as the clinical director for the department from 2006 to 2013.
