Dr Laith Shaman was raised in New Zealand and grew up in Southeastern Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with multiple honors. He earned his medical degree from the Dr William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was awarded the Centennial Leadership Award for his dedication to organizing volunteer events that give back to the community. He completed a three-year surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He has comprehensive training in diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma, as well as elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
