I graduated with honors from the First Moscow State Medical University, and further continued with a PhD in Cardiology and Biochemistry focusing on lipoprotein(a) and various treatment modalities for heritable lipid disorders, including lipoprotein apheresis, at the National Medical Research Center. To acquire expertise in genetic epidemiology and clinical informatics I did my postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Genomics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester developing tools and implementing innovative systems for discovery with a specific focus on patients with familial hypercholesterolemia and early vascular disease.
