Susannah Wright, CNM, RN, MSN, IBCLC, is a certified nurse midwife and lactation consultant with the Providence Medical Group-Mother and Baby Clinic. She sees patients in the clinics at Providence Portland, St. Vincent and Willamette Falls Medical Centers. Susannah’s work revolves around listening, teaching and caring. “I listen carefully to understand what my patients need that day,” she says. “Then I provide care and education to make sure that, by the time they leave their appointment, they feel supported and confident that they got what they needed.” A graduate of The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., Susannah earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Oregon Health & Science University.
