Marcus McKenzie, MD joined Legacy Heart Center in 2006 from Georgetown University Hospital where he was Assistant Professor of Medicine responsible for inpatient consultation and cardiology services. Dr McKenzie has an active interest in research trials and is currently serving as director of clinical research for Legacy Heart Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease. He has extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and holds a certification from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He has special interests in acute coronary syndromes, cardiac critical care, diagnostic cardiac catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography.
