Tapas Gajjar, MD, FHM, CHCQM, is a hospitalist, a physician who provides care to patients during their acute hospital stay. He also serves as program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Round Rock, training the next generation of physicians. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct assistant professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine. As a young adult, Dr Gajjar was not sure what he wanted to be. It was encouragement from his family that led him to take the path of medicine, and in hindsight, he is grateful he did, because he loves what he does.
