Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: In my childhood, I helped to care for my great grandfather when he lived in our home. I had the amazing opportunity to have unlimited access to him while he lived with us. I constantly talked with him and helped him get around the house and in our yard, even with his oxygen tank. I enjoyed every moment I had with him and loved caring for him. After he passed away, I knew that I wanted to care for others and to be able to impact lives. Therefore, I became an operating room nurse... I love my job! After enjoying many years in the operating room, I realized I wanted to make an even greater impact on others.
