I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Iowa, which is where my interest in healthcare first came to be while watching family friends' careers. I attended Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) for undergraduate where I studied Kinesiology and Dance. I met my husband at Iowa State while we both worked for the athletic departments. While medicine is my main passion, other areas of interest include reading, yoga, Taylor Swift, and my cat, Carleton. I believe in establishing strong doctor-patient relationships built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
