Dr. Hirsch is a New York native and received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Cornell University. She then obtained a Master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University before headig to medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago where she received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism & Excellence in Teaching Award.
Dr. Hirsch is a published author with a focus on advocacy. She has written articles on the COVID pandemic and reproductive justice for papers such as the Buffalo Times and the Baltimore Sun.
