Dr. Gassman, who joined PRMA in January 2021, is a board-certified plastic and breast reconstruction surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at UCLA, with a general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He furthered his training with a fellowship in breast and reconstructive microsurgery, including facial reanimation, at UTSW in Dallas. An active researcher and educator, Dr. Gassman focuses on pain reduction and recovery pathways in breast reconstruction and has contributed extensively to the field through publications and teaching. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
