Growing up in New York City, Dr Kelly’s interest in healthcare began when he joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve and served as a medic for six years. He then graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing and worked as a nurse in public health, as a nursing clinical coordinator, and as a health educator for various hospital systems and clinics throughout New York City.
Dr Kelly continued his education to earn a Master of Public Health degree from Hunter College in Manhattan and later, a Doctor of Medicine degree from John Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
