I love what I do. It is a privilege and enormous responsibility to be a surgeon and entrusted to treat some of the most complex and difficult health challenges that a person will face. I pride myself on being there for my patients and guiding them through every step of the process of going through surgery. There is no greater satisfaction for me than improving a patient's quality of life through the work we do.
I particularly enjoy my subspecialty field of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Colon and Rectal Surgeons deal with some of the most personal, difficult-to-speak-about, life-changing problems that patients go through. This can be something as common as hemorrhoids or as life-altering as rectal cancer.
