  Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?: I chose to pursue a career in healthcare after a family member went to physician assistant school and explained the profession to me. I saw her studying electrocardiograms one day and was so intrigued by the cryptic, squiggly lines that I decided to learn more and began taking classes in anatomy and physiology. The more I learned about the human body, the more impressed I became with God's design and the more I wanted to continue learning. I pursued a career as a physician assistant because in medicine I found a profession in which I can take this information I have learned and apply it to relieve suffering and improve the lives of others.
