Joseph Chen, MD, is a board-certified sports medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, FL. He also holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the same university. Dr Chen completed a residency in family medicine at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Family Medicine Residency Program, Tallahassee, FL, and a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Self Regional Healthcare Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, Greenwood, SC. He previously served as team physician for men’s and women’s sports at Lander University, a NCAA Division II school in South Carolina.Rooted in primary care, I have developed a patient-centered philosophy.
