William Browne

William F. Browne, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Browne was recruited to join the Weill Cornell faculty after completing a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Browne completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. He earned his M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine in 2011. Prior to his clinical training, Dr. Browne worked as a medicinal chemist and was involved in the discovery of medications to treat heart failure and skeletal muscle diseases. Dr. Browne’s clinical expertise is in complex vascular diseases, interventional oncology, and management of dialysis access. He performs a wide variety of procedures, including endovascular treatments of arterial and venous disease, minimally invasive cancer therapies, and image-guided interventions of hepatobiliary and renal diseases. He also regularly interprets advanced imaging studies to diagnose vascular and oncologic illnesses.In addition to clinical and research activities, Dr. Browne has received multiple awards for being an active teacher of fellows, residents, and medical students.
