As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a doctor, and I knew I wanted to work with people. I love building relationships with people, hearing their stories and helping them be their best selves. What I love about internal medicine is that it's a little piece of every part of medicine all in one place. The best analogy is that it?s like solving puzzles and putting them together. There's so much you can learn every day. As med students, we rotate through all different fields. I liked a little bit of each one, but I couldn't commit to just one. Internal medicine gives me a little taste of everything. At the end of the day, what I want my patients to know and what I want them to take away from the visit is that I'm your doctor, but I'm also your advocate. I want our interactions to be a safe place where we work together to make sure you get the best possible care.
