Dr Kim received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 2010. He completed postgraduate training in internal medicine in 2013 and a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology in 2017, both at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. For one year between internal medicine residency and fellowship, he was on staff as a physician in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He joined the division of hematologic malignancies at Dana-Farber in 2017.
