Dr Szerlip received her medical degree and completed her residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a Major in the US Army where she was Vice Chief of the Internal Medicine Clinic at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She completed her fellowship in cardiology at Medical College of Georgia and her interventional cardiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr Szerlip joined the Baylor Scott and White Heart Hospital in Plano in 2013. She is the Medical Director of the Percutaneous Valve Program, which oversees both the large TAVR program as well as the percutaneous mitral and tricuspid programs.
