Hi, my name is Tamara D Almeyda, MD, and I am a clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. I am board certified in psychiatry and neurology with a keen interest in bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. I completed my undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering at the University of Miami and earned my medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. I then pursued a residency in general psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center, where I also served as chief resident. I have held various administration roles, including clinical associate of psychiatry and clinical instructor of psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine.
