When it comes to patient care, I search for the why behind the what. I don't just want to know what's going on with my patients; I want to understand what led to their current condition. And I want them to understand, too. My love for pathology means I am always searching for the missing piece of the puzzle.
I started my career by earning a master's degree in nutrition and working at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. While there, I decided to broaden my medical knowledge, and I earned my license as a pediatric nurse practitioner. My work in pediatrics is focused in endocrinology and the newborn nursery.
I am married to an orthopedic spine surgeon, and we have four kids - all of whom love sports. From gymnastics to swim to soccer practice, meets and matches, I spend most of my free time driving carpool. To maintain this schedule, I start every day with 30 to 60 minutes of exercise.
My husband and I love nature and spending time outdoors. I also have a love for art and architecture.

Both my parents worked at the local hospital, so I grew up feeling entirely at home in a healthcare environment.
