As a physical therapist, I most enjoy the ability to use my hands and my knowledge of the most current treatment options to help patients gain strength and mobility or recover from an injury. To me, seeing patients get better and feel stronger is what I find most rewarding about my job. I graduated with a degree in physical therapy in 1997. I am also board-certified in orthopedic physical therapy and nationally certified as an athletic trainer. I belong to the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy. In addition to my clinical work, I also serve as a manager for Novant Health outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine. This allows me to blend my love of patient care with the joy of helping others grow their own professional careers. Outside of work, my family and I prioritize staying active and healthy. My hobbies include weight training and reading. I also love cheering my alma mater, Wake Forest University, to victory. Go Deacs!
