Dr Ulka Sachdev obtained her medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. She completed her residency and vascular fellowship training at the same institution. She is board-certified in vascular surgery and serves as the site chief of vascular surgery at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, and co-director of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute's Vein Center. Dr Sachdev was a past recipient of the Wylie Scholar Award from the Foundation for Accelerated Vascular Research and Vascular Cures, and received a grant from the NIH to conduct research in vascular disease treatments. She joined UPMC in 2006 and specializes in the treatment of venous as well as arterial disease and dialysis access.
