Dr Danny Chu serves as the director of Cardiac Surgery at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and as a senior staff cardiac surgeon at the UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute. He earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed his general surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego, followed by an accredited residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine with world-renowned cardiovascular surgeons Dr Michael E DeBakey and Dr Denton A Cooley.
