She joined Samaritan in 2004. Dr Krumrey volunteers with SIGN, a group that provides developing countries with the hardware needed to fix thigh, shin and upper arm fractures at no cost to the patients or the hospitals. She has personally sponsored a program in Nairobi, Kenya. In her free time, she likes to hike, ski, travel, read, and spend time with her family.
