He completed his internal medicine residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, of which his final year he was chief resident. Dr. Liaqat earned his cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, his advanced invasive heart failure/transplant cardiology fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.Dr. Liaqat is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Cardiovascular Diseases, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Advance Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, and the National Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
