Raja Mehanna, MD, is a board-certified neurologist, fellowship-trained movement disorder specialist, and an associate professor of neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He sees primarily adult patients but for conditions such as tics, dystonia, and Huntington’s disease, he sees patients of all ages. Mehanna is also the assistant director of the UTMOVE fellowship training program, director of the movement disorder curriculum, and co-director of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program. Mehanna is dedicated to providing his patients with expert diagnoses on all aspects of movement disorders and offering individualized treatment options. He emphasizes patient education and focuses on listening to their needs. A Houston resident, Mehanna is married and has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, biking, classical music, and learning about history and theology.
