Both a written and practical examination are required for the DCBCN. In order to maintain this certification, chiropractors must complete a minimum of 16 classroom hours of continuing education in nutrition each calendar year.
The Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition operates under the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and issues the specialty certification diploma to doctors of chiropractic in the field of clinical nutrition (DCBCN).
