Become a better listener

I am amazed at how easy it is to misunderstand others. So, I want to become a better listener. When we listen we can hear the unspoken words, the feeling behind the words and what people really mean.\n\nI was recently seen by a doctor for my eye. He was rude enough to call me deaf/stupid. He also told me that he has too much education to talk to me. Well, sure, there is no way to make everyone happy, but this doctor was just way out of line. So, I listened. Behind his rude manner, I found a doctor who is hurt. I mean it is difficult to deal with the public. I always thought doctors need to be understanding and caring, or why do they take the seat away from a more caring medical school student in the first place? do something else. \n\nNow, I am making the best out of my experience, and instead of arguing with him in his office, I listened, and I became a member of this site to give my opinion about him to other patients who are researching his background. Now, I am not going to give his name, since I really listen to him, I don’t hate him, I just want other patients who are researching this site to know not to go to him.\n\n\n
