Health Tip: Considering High-Intensity Interval Training?

(HealthDay News) -- High-intensity interval training (HIIT) combines short periods of intense exercise with recovery periods.

The American Council on Exercise says benefits of HIIT workouts include:

  • Improved aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
  • Improved insulin sensitivity and fasting glucose.
  • Decrease in belly fat and subcutaneous fat just under the skin.
  • Improved cardiovascular function.
