The American Academy of Family Physicians says these factors may raise your risk of a food/drug interaction:

  • Being a pregnant woman.
  • Being an older adult.
  • Having a chronic disease, such as heart disease or diabetes.
  • Being a young child.
  • Eating a poor diet.
