¼ cup tomatoketchup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 pinch red pepper flakes
4 scallions, trimmed and thinly sliced
2 pounds chicken wings
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Heat a grill to medium-high.
Mix the first five ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to make Asian barbecue sauce. Add half of the scallions, and save the rest.
Use black pepper and salt to lightly season the wings.
Grill the wings, flipping them every couple of minutes. Cooking should take about 20 minutes.
As soon as the wings are done, put them in a large bowl with the Asian barbecue sauce and cover the wings. Transfer these wings to a serving plate and toss the remaining scallions over the wings.
