½ pound lean ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup green bell pepper, cubed
3 ½ cups tomato, diced
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika
1 cup frozen peas
2 small carrots, peeled and diced
1 cup uncooked rice
1 ½ cup water
Brown the ground beef in a sauté pan. Drain excess fat.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the beef and stir between additions.
Cover the pan and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, decrease the heat to low and simmer for 35 minutes. Serve hot.
