1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins
2/3 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add the raisins and mix again.
In a different bowl, mix the melted butter and buttermilk. Combine this liquid mixture with the flour mixture.
Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet, making 8 equal mounds. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until scones are golden. Serve.
