1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
In a saucepan with about an inch of water, bring the broccoli to boil, and then reduce the heat. Cover the pan, and simmer for five to eight minutes or until tender-crisp. Drain the water and place in a serving bowl.
Heat the sesame oil, vegetable oil, and red pepper flakes over medium heat for two minutes or until hot. Add the soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice, and garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the sugar dissolves.
Pour the garlic sauce over the broccoli and serve warm or chilled.
