Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 pounds broccoli rabe, trimmed

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  • Boil the water in a large pot. When boiling, add the broccoli rabe and cook until tender.

  • Transfer the broccoli rabe to an ice bath to stop the cooking process, remove, and chop it into large pieces.

  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  • Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the broccoli rabe, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper to the pan and mix well.
