2 pounds broccoli rabe, trimmed
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Boil the water in a large pot. When boiling, add the broccoli rabe and cook until tender.
Transfer the broccoli rabe to an ice bath to stop the cooking process, remove, and chop it into large pieces.
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the broccoli rabe, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper to the pan and mix well.
