1/2 cup molasses
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 3/4 cup flour

Preheat the oven to 350°F
Combine the molasses and applesauce in a large bowl.
When mixed, add the cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, baking soda, and flour to the bowl. If the mixture seems dry, add more applesauce or some water.
Spray an 8x8 inch baking pan with cooking spray and pour the mixture into the pan.
Place the pan into the oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean.
When done, remove from the oven and place it onto a cooling rack. May serve warm or cooled.
