3 cups water
1/4 pound smoked, skinless, turkey breast
1 tablespoon fresh hot pepper, chopped
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 chopped scallion
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 pounds mustard greens (or turnip greens, collard greens, kale, or mixture of greens)
In a large saucepan, place all ingredients (except greens) and bring to boil.
Wash the greens thoroughly and remove stems.
Tear or slice the greens into bite-size pieces.
Add the greens to the saucepan and cook for 20 minutes or until tender.
