2 sticks margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
3/4 cup milk chocolate toffee baking bits
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F and grease a cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, margarine, salt, and vanilla extract until well blended. Add the eggs and beat well.
In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda, flour, cream of tartar, and toffee baking bits. Add this dry mixture to the sugar and margarine mixture and combine thoroughly.
Drop the dough by the teaspoonful onto the cookie sheet, distributing evenly.
Bake for 8-9 minutes or until slightly brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
