My family and I have been going to Dr. Dryfuss for over 30 years. I now live in Tennessee and still make the trip down to Gainesville to get my check-ups. This should be as good a recommendation as I can think of.

My husband and I have been patients for 20 years. He was the first to diagnose my husband's type 2 diabetes. Then recently suspected that I had macular digeneration. Referred me to a retina specialist.
Has a dry sense of humor which I love. Hope he never retires.

I went to Dr. Dryfuss with a very scary eye condition. He was rude, condescending and uninformative. I walked out with over $300 worth of prescriptions and no information. I had left work that day to go to my emergency visit with him and went back to work without knowing what I was being treated for. There is no excuse for not answering your patient's basic questions about their condition and treatment.

On the other hand, his staff and support team are bright, kind and pleasant. They were both professional and friendly!

Dr. Dryfuss is a skilled physician of long experience. He is thorough and diligent. No shortcuts. He is conservative in his practice and is clear about the risks associated with all procedures. The office is exceptionally well organized. It is harmonious and functions smoothly. All errors re appointments, instructions and the like have been mine without exception.
I very highly recommend Dr. Dryfuss and this practice to anyone requiring eye care. They've taken care of me for over twelve years and will continue to, I hope.

I had the best experience here. I have a pretty bad astigmatism and it is very hard for me to get my prescription right. Elsie had so much patience and understanding and explained everything to me step by step and did not mind my questions. In my past experiences I felt like I was annoying the doctor because everytime I blinked it looked different. I felt like they just wanted to rush me out of there. Elsie, Dr. Mcdonald and the rest of the staff made me feel at home. I will be coming here from now on.
