I went to him for a toenail issue. he found that I had a bone spur that was affecting my achilles tendon. I asked several times prior to and after surgery about physical therapy. his reply was always "don't worry about it" or "it's a case by case situation". at 9.5 months, I still was not able to even bend my toes or get a real shoe on that foot. I had pain in the ankle and foot when I tried to walk on it. Again...……….NO physical therapy was ordered or even suggested. At one time I had to draw his attention to the gap in my incision where a stitch had busted. He actually raised his voice to me in the room (with the door open!) telling me he had years of experience and if HE thought I needed more surgery HE would take me to the hospital and do it! I ended up getting a hairline fracture 4.5 months after surgery in that foot. the day I sat in his waiting room in excruciating pain, I had tears coming down my face. when I got in a patient room his nurse asked me "you weren't crying out there, why are you crying in here???" NOT a place I will ever recommend. I am under the care of a different doctor who FINALLY ordered physical therapy on my foot and ankle. However, 10 months of no PT and immobility, I face the possibility of another surgery to try to get full mobility back. PSA: Achilles Tendon surgery requires PT!
Would recommend this place to anyone who needs foot surgery. Dr. Pack and his staff are professional, caring and friendly. Always on time with my appointments. Service is a PLUS.
Fused ankle 3 years ago. Fusion did not work with 2 screws. Bone splintered and screws were just holding into the flesh of the foot. Had another fusion done 1/08/2019 at Methodist Hospital Houston Medical Center. Dr Jason Ahuero performed the surgery using rods, plates and screws. This one should stay in place. Found out the Talus bone had just splintered and was gone. I think Dr Pack should have been more aggressive with his approach to my ankle fusion.
Dr. Pack took the time to explain all of the options and the pro's and con's of each for my ankle problem. Then he actually listened to my concerns and addressed each. I highly recommend Dr. Pack.
Injuring my foot a few days ago, was not how I expected to spend a Friday evening. I called hoping to see a foot specialist, so that the wasted time/money at the ER or an urgent care could be skipped. Dr. Pack agreed to see me straight away without any hesitation, and upon arrival, he was waiting outside for me with a wheelchair. With an extremely efficient and thorough examination, we were in and out in only 35 minutes! Talk about first class care and service, it's here with this doctor! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pack and this medical practice!
I went in for a broken foot, I fell out of my husbands truck while getting my baby out and misstepped. I was terrified for the out come as I am my kids main caretaker during the day. Dr. Pack was kind and sensitive to me. He was professionally focused on my foots needs but offered a kind bedside manor to the mother in me who was just wanting to be able to take care of the little one still. Definitely recommend him to others.
The BEST foot doctor. Very personal, focused and honest. Takes the time to do a great job and works around your schedule and needs. Staff works with you on payment plan.
