After suffering with disc issues and fibromyalgia (which it says on the website ) and a recommendation from a friend who told me they tke my insurance, I got a referral from my orthopedic Dr.and though thank god 7 an get some relief. Even the web site states that they treat fibromyalgia pain. Well after I saw the PA , I met Dr. Kahn. He was so rude and outright without mincing words , told me 1st if all I don't believe in fibromyalgia. It's bullshit. He told me that I was heather than him and thatb and that there was nothing wrong with me and that he is a true believer that I could make myself feel better everything that tried to tell him about my pain issues , he shot down. I was caught off guard , that I was dumb founded . So I basically was told that I had no nj issuesthat I couldn't fix myself. The dicharge sheet listed my back and cervical spine issues listed the diagnosis from tests run by another Dr. Showing indeed I have several issues causing me pain and Dr. Kahn care plan recommended injections in my neck physical therapy , lose weight and exercise. I never got to tell him about my car accident and that prior to injuring my self after from a fall , that actually I had joined a gym. He made me feel as low as dog crap on his shoe. I wouldn't let this man touch me with a 10 ft. Pole but I am at a loss since he is the closest dr in my area that actually takes my insurance. I got in my car and cried almost all the way home.

What a joke Medicaid has come to. These doctors at Comprehensive pain management told me that they had received my referral from my primary care doctor and made an appointment with me( they told me that they refused to set up an appointment until they received that referral). They actually saw me and set up a follow up. They then tell me they never got the referral (aka: they lost the referral) from my primary care doctor and that I would be responsible to get a new one. My primary care doctor said they sent it to them several times. In the meantime Comprehensive pain Management refuses to see me or refill the presciptions that I need. They are the only doctor with in a two hour radius of where I live in the Amerihealth Mercy Healthcare plan.

Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I was very satisfied with my visit to Dr. Ko. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was easy enough to find.

All this said, I think Comprehensive Pain Center is only concerned about making money. Aside from Dr. Ko who is terrific. They change their policies without notifying patients. They have started treating patients on narcotics for legitimate pain issues as criminals and/or drug addicts. It is appalling. I'm looking elsewhere for a pain management doctor.
