Dr. Emmer & his staff have always been extremely helpful & courteous to me. He did more for improving my health than any of the other doctors I have been to, including some from Hopkins. I drive from Delaware to see him. Trust him totally.

Dr. Emmer instructed my husband to cease taking a medication that he had been taking for years for his irregular heart beat. The medication was to thin the blood so that it would not clot and thereby cause a stroke.

The cardiologist substituted aspirin but Dr. Emmer instead told my husband to cease taking the medication and did not tell him -as the cardiologist instructed - to substitute aspirin. The result was that my husband died from a massive stroke, the very thing that the medication had prevented for all the years.

This was a case of negligence. He then blamed us for following his instructions without questioning the removal.
Thus, I cannot recommend him

I didn't have a good experience with Dr. Emmer. I am premenopausal and he put me on daily estrogen until I asked him to place me on a cyclical dose but he didn't bother to give me progesterone and it caused severe endocrine imbalance.I am premenopausal with a uterus and I still have periods.
He forgot to perscribe progesterone.Also, he secretarial staff is very rude.For these reasons, I don't recommend him.
Lucky for me,my mother -in -law told me about Dr. Alan Terlinsky in Arlington, Va. Dr. Terlinsky uses the same method as Dr. Diana Swartzbien. Dr. Terlinsky also knows a great deal more about hormone balance and nutrition. A big thumbs up for Dr. Terlinsky!
