Dr. Kaufman has a great sense of humor to go along with his incredible knowledge of skin issues. He correctly diagnosed what other doctors missed (on several occasions). The nursing staff is always very helpful at getting in urgent cases, and Dr. Kaufman has given personal follow-up calls when needed.

He also has a generosity and compassion to his practice, seeing patients at a nursing home and helping charitable organizations he strongly believes in.

In a nutshell: After growing up in the Caribbean, I was left with skin cancer in three places on my face, including immediately adjacent to my eye. It was all removed (very little pain, too!), and you can't see a trace of where it was. He's that good and gentle. He's very old school, and will expect a good dirty joke to be shared, and in this, he is just trying to put patients at ease. So if this style makes you uncomfortable, just tell him! He's a wonderfully kind man and a gifted dermatologist

No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments
