Extremely disappointed in this practice, even more so that they are legally still running a business , when the doctor is not mentally unstable!! He hires ex-convicts (medina blanton)that "supposably" stole one of his prescription pads, and wrote out 100s of narcotics in patients names as well as her own... Medina Blanton worked for Dr Ballenger from March - December 2015. She was charged on February 12th 2016 (look up Coastal Carolina Neurology arrest made) and in this time she acquired hundreds of pills by "stealing" Dr. Ballenger Prescription Pad.... Which amazes me because working at a doctor's office they should do their background checks on their employee's, you would think, I mean after all people have to have one just to work at a fast-food industry!! But he'd rather neglect his patients and violate their HIPAA rights I can't believe he hired a woman who was previously charged for building Aflac $235,000 back in January of 2013 Medina blanton said that her family we're admitted as in patients, and even prescribe them medication when in fact they never were admitted, it was just all part of a scam. It is very unfortunate that we as people trust people just because they're wearing a white doctor coat that doesn't mean that they are concerned about us and I just want you to know if you do see this doctor or ever plan to that he will never see you as a patient he will only see you as a money sign he does not care about your health and his even jeopardize to several other people by taking them off seizure medications when they were still having seizure activity and as so much as to taking them off they go to his office complaining that they want the medication and Dr Ballenger said that they don't need it and then they have a seizure in the office it is very unfortunate he is too old to practice he has lost his eyesight he can't read anything he is a danger to society and to patients and his license should be suspended indefinitely!!!! Don't even get me started on the office staff they are extremely rude belligerent have no respect for patients at all or the HIPAA Act they violate all your privacy they yell and scream at you as if you're a child and I had to take my daughter away is only six years old because of the nastiness that they showed toward me when I did nothing wrong all I want is answers and medical records which they refused to give I will be contacting the medical board as well as many other associations to make sure that things get taken care of enough is enough I put my foot down and I hope you will too!!!

They barely gave me any information at all. They've misplaced my record twice in two weeks so I haven't received any real information. I was about to be prescribed medication that would have severely conflicted with my current medication, which they where told about numerous times. My life was, at one point, in jeopardy due to the fact that I was told there was nothing wrong and another doctor almost prescribed me a medication that can induce seizures based on that false answer. I could not receive a real answer because no one has reviewed my records in a month! I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly at all, they were unprofessional the entire time and the office has not been cleaned in a month as annotated on their cleaning log which had not been updated since last month. I didn't feel welcome there due to the attitudes of some employees, they discussed just how much they hated their jobs in another room, how am I supposed to feel comfortable with that? They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The office was easy enough to find. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.

Dr. Ballenger, and his complete staff, are highly professional, friendly, and go "out of their way" to make you feel comfortable. Their medical expertise ia highly commendable, and their office makes one feel welcome. I would highly recommend this practice. In addkition, the office is easy to find within the New Bern area. I can tell that Dr. Ballenger, and his staff, care about the patients for I am one of them.

I would never recommend them to anyone. They were terrible. I understand they're busy, but I'm getting really tired of them postponing my appointments all the time. Every time I make an appointment, it's usually postponed at least a week. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. They are WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked and not always that pleasant. I've never been in there when the waiting rooms weren't packed with a bunch of very aggravated people. They seem to be more concerned about quantity of business over quality. They either didn't read my information or didn't pay any attention to it. Even though they had my information right in front of them, I kept having to explain it to them and remind them why I was there.

He lets his employees smoke inside the building, which is very tiny, and there is no sanitary factor at all. He never once washed his hands. He skipped out during my evaluation to take a smoke break!
