I've been suffering with neck/shoulder pain for the past year, went to physical therapy for months, which helped me to feel better, but didn't cure the problem. I thought I was just going to have to suffer-I then had a very bad night, and went in search of a chiropractor. I ended up in Highland Chiropractor Office and am so glad I did.
Their office is so friendly, everyone is treated with such respect, and they all take the time to educate you on the type of treatment you will be receiving.
My first evaluation was unbelievably thorough, I had x-rays done, and went back the next to to review them. I learned that I had many areas up and down my back that were not aligned like they should be. Dr "Ian" answered all of my questions taking care to answer all of my questions. (I'm a nurse, and trust me, I HAD A LOT OF QUESTIONS!) He then "adjusted" my spine, and I cannot believe that I woke up the next day to find that the burning and pain I had been dealing with were gone. This is not typical to get such immediate relief, but am happy I did. After only a couple more weeks of treatments, I can't believe the improvement in the flexibility I have, I no longer "click" when I walk, and even my knees are feeling better.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Ian and his staff. His wife also is a chiropractor there, and specializes in pregnant women and children. What a team. I'm happy to recommend this office. I even got my husband to go after dealing with a back injury for several years, who also did the physical therapy "thing", and saw several doctors without getting too much help. He is already seeing a difference in his flexibility after a week of treatment. I have the utmost confidence that Dr. Ian will help him in a way noone else has been able to.

I went to see Dr. Ian and Dr. Arlene Simpson in the early summer because my spondylolisthesis (bad back) was acting up after chopping some trees in my backyard over Memorial Day weekend. My back pain was so bad, I was having problems walking around and engaging in regular activity with my family. This was my first time visiting a Chiropractor and it was a great success for me. Dr. Arlene first got my medical history and took some X-rays to study my back condition. Dr. Arlene performed an initial spinal adjustment to give me a little relief. On my next visit Dr. Ian showed me my X-rays to explain and show me how my spine had become misaligned. He then explained the care plan that they wanted to put me on to restore my back health. Over the next month or so I went in for my 20 – 30 minute appointments, laid on the traction table to stretch my back and then received the back adjustment (popping everything back in place). I feel a lot better today. The practice is a great family environment and everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend them.
