I have been a patient of Dr. Shortell for the past 4- 5 years. Dr. Shortell is an excellent diagnostician and pinpointed the area of weakness and/or pain. He has taken sincere interest in my general/overall health like no other physician. I have Scoliosis and Dr Shortell has relieved my back pain! He prescribed and I wear a back support belt each day which has improved my posture as well.
I greatly appreciate his quiet and thoughtful mannerisms and a sincere concern for my wellbeing.

Dr. Shortell is by far the most concerned chiropractor I've ever been to. He is interested not only in my physical well being, but also asks about my emotional health, and encourages me to do the things that I'm passionate about. I would not consider seeing another provider.
His staff is understanding and caring. I was, at first, concerned about the office being open - that is to say that there are several patients being treated in various ways in the same room - but after my first visit those concerns were put to rest. The environment is quiet and relaxing. Who thought I would ever look forward to seeing the chiropractor? Not I, but I do.

Dr Shortell has been our family's Chiropractor for about 10 years, definitely helping us overcome many back related issues. He always is caring and respectful. We continue to get maintenance adjustments once a month.
When our daughter was carrying a breech baby he gave a particular manipulation and the baby turned within a couple days saving her a C-section.

I have had lower back issues since my late teens that would get so bad I would not be able to dress myself and ties my shoes when it would flare up. I have had limited success with physical therapy and two previous chiropractors. I had cortisone injections that gave me relief, but the problems always resurfaced. I refused to get surgery.

I started working with Dr Shortell a couple of years ago, and he has greatly improved my quality of life. His initial analysis of my issues were clear and concise and his treatment program got me fixed in the first couple of months. I can run again, I can play with my kids, I can go to the gym and lift heavy weights without pain. Every once in a while I get a flare up, but it is usually because I did something to myself to cause it. When that happens Dr Shortell is able to correct my issue within a visit or two.

I go back every three to four weeks now just to get what I call a tune up.

Thanks Doctor Shortell for helping me. I would highly reccomend this practice for anyone suffering back pain.

For many years I was in so much pain to the point where it hurt to walk or move. I saw so many specialist but none of them could diagnose where the pain was coming from, I have always been uncomfortable with taking medication and thats all they offered to me, thats when a friend referred me to Doctor Shortell. What other doctors couldn't see, he diagnosed me within an hour and came up with a plan for treatment. Ive been seeing Doctor Shortell for almost a year now and although I am still a work in progress he has been life changing and I am forever grateful for him giving me my life back.

I went in with sciatic nerve pain all down my left leg and within the first visit I was feeling much better and within 2 or 3 visits I was feeling only minimal pain or discomfort. Dr. Shortell and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

In my opinion, Dr. Shortell is considered to be a very personable chiropractor that is attuned to my well being. He absolutely loves his profession and enjoys helping people to feel better and live pain free. I have recommended Dr. Shortell to other people who are looking for a chiropractor in Cromwell area.

Dr. Shortell is very thorough and knowledgeable not just as a chiropractor but as an overall wellness expert. He offers several solutions for health issues and his therapy sessions have done wonders for my back ailments. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their health and well being.
