I am a hard working contractor and had been dealing with some severe pain in my neck, shoulder, and arm. As my condition worsened it was recommended to me that I visit Dr. Shortell. Robert took the time to go over "my story" and isolated the source of my pain. It took a little time, but my condition improved. I now feel better than I have in years! You don't realize how badly you were feeling until you are truly mobile and pain free. I was a skeptic and my views have been reversed due to the results I obtained.

After damaging my back and neck last summer building retaining walls I visited Dr. Shortell. After a comprehensive exam Dr. Shortell helped me improve my health and eliminate pain in those affected areas. I feel great and those symptoms are gone.

Dr. Shortell has been my chiropractor for a number of years. He has helped me maintain good health and has also treated specific problems. I am happy to have avoided surgery and medication in most cases, but when required, he has referred me to doctors who have used surgery and/or medicine when he felt this was necessary. I have great confidence in his abilities and his explanations that I have received over the years, but appreciate his referrals, as well.

Dr. Shortell helped me recover wonderfully. He is knowledgeable and professional, and seemed to know immediately where my back issues stemmed from. I felt as though I knew the staff well and they always took time to greet me. Gail was particularly sweet and made book recommendations for me regularly.

Dr. Shortell is very knowledgeable and comfortable to work with. He has helped my back pain enormously and is always accessible with any concerns you may have. His staff is always courteous and everyone in the office is a pleasure to deal with.

I started seeing Dr. Shortell a little over a year ago with limited range of motion and intense pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients understand the root of the problem as well as the course of treatment. Dr. Shortell shows great courtesy and professional in delivery of treatment. Today my pain is non-existent most days and I have almost full range of motion.

I travel over 30 miles to continue my treatment by Dr Shortell. Why - several reasons: my range of motion continues to improve, rarely in pain any more, sincere care is always provided, office staff is excellent and finally and most important - I totally trust him with my care and well being!

I have been going to Dr. Shortell for a number of years and am very happy with his services. I am able to move more freely in my neck and shoulders. He provided inserts for my fallen arches so that I am able to walk without pain. He is very good at his profession and I trust him and his judgment with regards to Chiropractic care. He is caring and if something has happened where I need his care, he is right there making a way to see me. I would and have recommended Dr. Shortell to others who have constant back pain and have been very pleased with the services he has offered.

I went to Dr. Shortell after having no success with physical therapy for my neck/arm pain. He spent a lot of time with me discussing my injury and gave me a lot of great advice. I have been going to his office for over a year and continue to receive great care. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful.

After having sought help from various physical therapists, chiropractors, and M.Ds over the course of 18 or so months, I took a chance to try a new chiropractor that I had heard good things about. Dr. Shortell treats chiropractic as a science, and to this end informs his patients on the exact nature of their issues and diagnosis, as well as what treatments may help and why. I had had other chiropractors before who couldn't be bothered to go to such great lengths to diagnose me correctly and explain to me the exact physical nature of back issues and why chiropractic works the way it does, Dr. Shortell does go to these lengths. Some chiropractors herd patients in and out of their office like cattle, failing to put in a fraction of the time and effort Dr. Shortell routinely demonstrates. Of the four chiropractors that I have seen in Connecticut, I would recommend Dr. Shortell first and foremost.
